Nice place to hangout while waiting for a flight in Newman. Especially the bush chooks roaming around

Looks good, but the water is no good. Cannot swim or enter the water. Good facilities, but not worth going there.

Nice place for a picnic or BBQ. BBQ facilities on site. Signs everywhere telling you not to swim because of meningococcal risk. There is also a track that you can drive, with signs ever so often telling you about the wildlife and geology.

As a picnic/recreational location in an isolated part of WA this presents as a tidy and well maintained location. Great for paddling but swimming is not recommended. Locat (East Pilbara) Shore are to be commended for the upkeep of a facility well out of town.Overnight camping is officially disallowed but you are unlikely to be challenged
